HL-3D 3D 5-axis laser cutting machine
Built to replace trimming dies on formed and hot-stamped parts.
Five-axis gantry laser for trimming hot-stamped, deep-drawn and formed parts.
- 5-axis3D cutting head
- Offline3D programming
- Twin stationrotary table option
The HL-3D is a five-axis gantry laser cutting machine for trimming and hole-cutting on formed 3D parts, such as hot-stamped automotive components and deep-drawn stainless parts. It replaces costly trimming dies and makes design changes a programming task instead of a tooling project.
Highlights
No trimming dies
A fixture and a program per part instead of hard tooling.
Hard materials
Trims press-hardened steel that wears out dies.
Fast design changes
New part variants are a programming job.
Five-axis 3D head on a rigid gantry
Offline 3D programming from CAD models
Typical parts: hot-stamped B-pillars, door rings, exhaust parts, kitchenware
Laser bevel cutting for weld prep bevels on formed parts

Frequently asked questions
When is 3D laser trimming better than a trimming die?
When part variants change often, volumes per variant are moderate, or the material is too hard for dies (such as press-hardened steel). A 3D laser only needs a fixture and a program for each new part.
Is a robot or a five-axis gantry better for 3D cutting?
A five-axis gantry is more accurate and rigid for production trimming. A robot cell is cheaper and more flexible for lower-precision work. We help you choose based on tolerance and volume.
