Laser solutions for commercial kitchen & stainless steel equipment

Stainless steel kitchen equipment makers need clean, oxide-free edges and welds that do not discolour or warp thin sheet. Fiber laser cutting with nitrogen plus laser welding (robotic or handheld) delivers both and cuts grinding and polishing time.

Typical parts

  • Worktops, sinks and wash tables
  • Refrigerated cabinets and counters
  • Extraction hoods and ducting
  • Shelving and trolleys

Why laser welding changes the economics

On thin stainless steel, TIG welding puts a lot of heat into the part, causing distortion and heat tint that has to be ground and polished away. A laser weld is narrow and fast, so finishing time drops sharply. Many kitchen equipment plants start with handheld laser welders and move the highest-volume parts to a robotic cell.
